False Start!
Well we’ve been trying to keep our minds off the ‘waiting’ but with Christine beginning some signs of ‘false’ labor, its been pretty tough. It took her a little bit of time to realize that the ’spasms’ she was having in her ab area wasn’t coincidental and that the rest of the women who are having a baby commonly refer to them as “contractions!” All teasing aside, she’s still doing great and we are just now hoping that this full moon doesn’t trigger little Boo to make an early appearance…at least that is what our doctor has asked given that she has left for a weeks vacation! So we had a little talk with Boo and asked him, if its ok with him, that we would be ok with waiting until after next Saturday. Time will tell but we’ll welcome him when ever he’s ready!
In an effort to kill some time, I’ve put together a video of the flip that my parents and I completed back in Akron. All work, with the exception of a few odd jobs and a few windows being installed, were done by myself and/or family (No – Christine didn’t do any ‘manual’ labor; ’silent’ partners don’t get their hands dirty!) All work is completed and its officially on the market and now its waiting for its new owner. This was an unbelievable experience – filled with lessons that can be applied to not only real estate but also life! I owe a huge thank you to my parents for without them this never would have come together.

Welcome to the 3rd trimester!
We have officially reached the third trimester! It’s kind of hard to believe that we only have 82 days until the due date. Dan and I are getting quite excited in anticipation for our little boy to make his grand appearance!
We started active birth classes this week where I take pre-natal yoga. It was a wonderful experience, but neither of us knew that we would be doing “birth art”
We didn’t get to take the art home until the last class, so we’ll have to post pics of that later. Dan was very supportive and knowledgeable about many of the lessons and has even followed our homework assignment to practice massaging my feet a couple times a night
Our furniture arrived this week as well! We finally have a real bed to sleep in and furniture that makes our place feel much more like a home. It’s amazing how well our stuff fit into the place (with the exception of the armoir, which didn’t really fit through a doorway very easily). And Belle is delighted to have multiple places to nap now.
Everyone is healthy and happy and looking forward to a relaxing day on Sunday!

Some Pix for the Fans…
Just a quick post as we are “delinquent” in getting pix posted from our 20 week ultrasound. WARNING – the quality of these photos are not that great for two reasons – they are picture of the original pictures (no digital version) and Boo decided to play shy during the entire process and sucked his thumb; thus hiding half his face!
Nevertheless, here are some of the pix -

There are a few other photos but the quality is really poor and its difficult to make out without a mother explaining the photo to you! These were taken about 2 months ago and since that time, Boo has grown from the size of a banana when the photos were taken to the size of an English hothouse cucumber (~14.5 inches)…about the weight of head of cauliflower (~2lbs.). In that time, he has grown eye brows and eye lids, has started to develop his taste buds (hope he likes lattes!), and is able to discern external sounds! Translation – he’s able to now distinguish our voices so we’ve begun to really talk to the Buddha’s belly. We’ve begun early – “Go Yankees!” and “All Boston teams stink!” and “Go Irish!”…he gets it!
And we are pretty excited for next Monday as we begin our “Active Birthing Classes!” So stay tuned as we’ll describe that experience over the next couple of weeks.
…And…We get our furniture on Tuesday!!!! No more blow up mattress, sitting on the floor, using paper plates, making coffee in a sauce pan, sorting our clothes in piles on the floor, using a box as a computer desk….we were minimalist to begin with but this is really pushing the limits! But its been comical and we’ve kept a good perspective about everything – Christine has been a real trooper and its one of the funniest things ever to watch her try to get out of the blowup mattress. Perhaps I can video tape it and learn how to post that for our ‘fans!’
Enjoy your weekend – and Happy Father’s day to our Dad’s!

26 weeks and counting
Many of you have been asking, demanding and some downright threatening us to post some progress photos. So here you are…remember to be nice, you’re still dealing with a hormone crazy woman
We took our first photo at about 8 weeks

This is from around 19 weeks – Michelle told me that my dress doesn’t show off my belly enough, so we’ll work on that

At 22 weeks, I started to really develop a bump

OK, I know you can’t see much, but isn’t it gorgeous out here?
Here I am this weekend at 26 weeks

and just for Michelle, I made sure to show my belly!

As you can see, the Boo is growing and mom is enjoying desert!

And the baby is…….
While we originally decided not to find out the sex of the baby, after a small slip or two by our new doctor, we decided to find out what we are having. Dan and I are excited to report that we are indeed having a baby boy!!!!
Dan is daydreaming about Dodger games, throwing the football, and not having wedding expenses. I’m wondering, how in the world will I know what to do? I don’t know the first thing about raising a boy! We’ve got a lot of support from family and friends so I’m sure I’ll figure it out, but right now I feel like I’m flying blind here
Most importantly, Boo is still healthy and kicking all the time!
